Site: This web site is maintained by Blaine Standage and Margaret Carlson. It was begun in October, 2000 as a means of providing and exchanging information about and among ourselves, our friends and our relatives. It is our first effort of this type and all comments and suggestions about this site will be appreciated. For more info see "How it Works" About The Names: The names Quiet Man and Irish Eyes are holdovers from our early days on Citizen Band (CB) radio where those were our on-air "handles". As you might suspect from the pictures at the top of this page, the names are suggestive of the characters played by John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara in the movie "The Quiet Man". No further comparison is implied or expected. You Are Welcome Here Everyone is welcome at this site. Our family and friends already know they are welcome. If you just "wandered in" we want you to know it is not hard to become our friend. |
